The PMC has approved the construction of the flyover at Mahatma Phule Chowk on the Mundhwa-Keshavnagar to Kharadi bypass road. Future Planning of Other Projects
Apart from the Mundhwa junction flyover, the authorities have also proposed a metro line on the same stretch. So, keeping this in mind, the civic administration has designed the flyover in a way that it does not interfere with the metro alignment later.
Apart from this the standing committee has also approved the construction of a pedestrian underground crossing at Kaleborate Nagar which is a well-known residential locality in Hadapsar Pune. For the unversed, this project will cost around Rs 5.37 crore and aims to improve safety for pedestrians. It goes without saying that such upcoming projects will positively impact the property prices in Pune.
There is also a proposal to construct another flyover over the railway track in the same area. However, this plan is still under consideration because of the technical challenges.
