SKF India (Industrial) to set up ₹653 crore ‘Factory of the Future’ in Pune

SKF India (Industrial) Limited on Monday announced an investment of ₹653 crore to establish a next-generation ‘Factory of the Future’ manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra.

The new facility, expected to be ready by 2030, marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s advanced manufacturing footprint in India. The investment reinforces SKF India (Industrial)’s long-term commitment to digitalization, sustainability, and building resilient supply chains

Designed as a lean, clean, and digitally enabled manufacturing campus, the plant is expected to enhance the company’s production capabilities while setting new benchmarks in efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.

The upcoming facility will form a key part of SKF India (Industrial) Limited’s long-term manufacturing strategy and build on its established presence in Pune. It will consolidate existing production channels and add new ones, creating a scalable manufacturing backbone aligned with global best practices.

It will enable faster response times and greater localization as India continues to emerge as a global hub for advanced manufacturing.
