A multi-vehicle crash was reported near Navale Bridge on the Pune–Satara Highway on Tuesday, adding to the increasing number of accidents on this busy road.
The incident took place on the lane going towards Pune from Satara, just before Dari Pul. Initial reports indicate that five to six cars collided with each other in a chain-reaction accident.
Police officials mentioned that the downhill slope and the speed of the vehicles are believed to have played a role in the crash. One vehicle allegedly struck another, causing a pile-up in a matter of seconds.
Three to four individuals were injured in the incident. The damaged cars led to temporary traffic delays in the area.
